My Story

Serving others is a core value of mine. As a UX designer, this has been a north star in helping people navigate technology to achieve their goals. I’ve seen firsthand the transformative power of higher education and how difficult it can be to navigate due to poor attention to user experience. I almost didn’t start college because of how overwhelming the enrollment experience was. Thus my origin story as a UX designer: to design better experiences for future students so they could become success stories.

One of the best compliments I’ve received from multiple colleagues is that I am “the calm in the storm.” In stressful situations, I’m able to remain diplomatic, pivot quickly, and provide direction to others.

  • Active Listening

Whether I’m speaking with a student, colleague, or business leader, I listen from a place of curiosity—wanting to make sure that I understand their perspective before proposing my own.

    Mentoring

I’m grateful for people who have mentored me, and I believe it is important to share that knowledge back. I don’t worry about others getting ahead of me precisely because I want to see them succeed.

    Collaboration

Everyone has a part to play, and I strive to collaborate early and often with other designers, software engineers, researchers, business stakeholders, and product managers (among others) in order to produce the best work possible.

Let’s work together
